Desktop Toolbar

Did you know that you can create a toolbar on the Desktop? Follow the steps below to find out how.

  1. Right click the desktop and mouse over New and click Folder
  2. Name the folder and key Enter
  3. Drag the folder icon to the edge of the desktop (about half of the folder should be visible) and drop it there

A toolbar should then appear that will hold the contents of the folder. You can drag the bar away from the edge to form a tool pane or right click the grab dots (or the blue bar if you created a pane) to customize how the contents of the folder are displayed.

To get rid of a toolbar, right click the start bar, mouse over Toolbars, and uncheck the name of your toolbar (you can also create a toolbar by clicking Create New on that Toolbars menu).
