I have a network of w98 & xp home computers. I just added a workstation w/xp pro, and I cannot see the workgroup. The workstation can be ping'ed, and communicates with the router and internet. I found that if I add nwlink ipx/spx protocol to a xp home and xp pro workstation, they can communicate. Why do I need to add ipx/spx to all 20 workstation? Is there another solution?
FYI, firewall is not enabled in the OS or 3rd party
