Default XP laptop won't rejoin a NT domain

Had to take my laptop off my work domain and when I went to rejoin it won't let me. I'm pretty sure the issue is with my laptop as I just reinstalled XP on 2 other desktops and had no issue joining the domain even though the Computer Name was different than before.
If I try to simply switch to a domain, it says it can't find the domain controller. If I run a wizard to join a domain it says it can't find an account for my laptop on the server and to add it. Checked the server and it says I have an account there... Any suggestions? WinXP sp1 on a 2.4ghz Toshiba laptop
