Hi,
I'm working(constantly) on one of my old computers I gave
to a friend. I found that the firewall disabled. It's for
DSL. Every time I try to enable it, a error window pops
up tell me "An error occured while Internet Connection
Sharing was being enable. The dependency service or group
falied to start". I try to use the Set Up Wizard and it
also fails. I failed to write down the failure. Am I
missing something. Thanks
The exact error message might help - can you call your friend & ask them to
try this & read the exact error to you over the phone?

Are there any relevant messages in Event Viewer? To run it, type
"eventvwr.msc" in the Start | Run box, click OK, and look for System
messages about failed services. For more information, see:
Then, check the dependencies of the ICF/ICS service and see if any of
those services aren't running:
1. Type "services.msc" in the Start | Run box and click OK.
2. Scroll down the list of services.
3. Double click ICF/ICS.
4. Click Dependencies and note the names of the services.
5. Double click each service in the list and see if the service is
started.
6. If it isn't, click Start.
