I have two computers running XP Pro that are directly
connected via a crossover ethernet cable. I can't get a
bloody thing to work, other than each computer recognizing
each other.
Is there some kind of tutorial I can use? Can anyone tell
me what I'm supposed to be doing? I'm new to this.
Thanks.

First, permanently disable ICF on both PCs. ICF inhibits F&P sharing.
Then, since, "recognizing each other" could mean lots of different
things, how about a list of what works, and what doesn't? Can each PC
ping itself and the other PC, using both ping-by-number and
ping-by-name? If you run CMD, then type IPCONFIG/ALL in the CMD
window on each PC, what do you get?
