XP clients - Windows NT4.0 Login script not working
I have a windows NT Domain Server and up until this
morning the Login scripts worked fine for all clients
NT/2000/XP.
Now the NETBIOS names cannot be resolved by the XP Pro
Clients. It will work if I change to use IP But prefer
not to do this

Well, it depends on your configuration.
Is the server on the same LAN subnet as the clients, or is it beyond a
router?
How are the names meant to be resolved?
Is there a WINS server, or is relying on broadcasts?
Are you using an LMHOSTS file?
Go to the WINS tab and ensure NetBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled.
Check the Node Type on the client and see if it's correct for your
configuration.
Check the correct WINS server's IP address is listed.
Check you have connectivity to the WINS server.
Check the WINS server has the correct records.
( Probably does, if other clients can resolve names. )
You need to do a bit more digging!
