Workgroup names

My computer is hooked with an eithernet cable to a Microsoft 500 router with wi-access and the router is hooked to a DSL. It is the only computer wired in at this time. When I click "view workgroup computers" it used to show itself, now, since re-installing XP, it says "MSHome not accessable....." and i cannot change the workgroup name with the wizard. It has my name and discription that I previously chose, but it keeps reverting back to MSHOME. It connects to the intenet just fine so I know the cables work. The wireless PDA PPC connects to the internet as well, but I can not get the wireless to see the base computer. It has terminal services client, but I don't know anything about setting it up
