Default WOL?

Hi
I want to know if I can use the wake on LAN with WIFI? and how ?

I think it's not possible because the device(NIC) needs to remain powered
after the standby/shutdown, and WLAN cards don't have that ability. Correct
me if I'm wrong.

It depends what you mean by Wake On LAN.
Officially WOL means waking up a computer that is totally Off by sending
though the Network a "Magic packet" to the computer that is Off but
connected to the Network. WOL capable computer when connected to the Network
can get a signal through the Network wire.
A computer that has only WIFI connection is Not connected to anything when
it is Off, so it can not get the Magic Packet and start working.
If you want to use a computer with WIFI to wake up another computer (that is
Not A WIFI) through the network that is OK.
