Default WNTIPCFG.EXE

When I use WNTIPCFG.EXE to release / renew my ip address I
get the following error. Wntipcfg May Return "Error 2:
Renewing Adapter '{xxxxxxxx-...-xxxxxxxxxxxx}'". There is
a Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 291998 which refers
to this but says I have to contact support. I can't
contact support because my PID has OEM. My OEM is unable
to resolve this issue. Does anyone have any idea what the
solution is (and why is it secret?).
Thanks.

Default Re: WNTIPCFG.EXE

Just use command line ipconfig, or netsh.
These are the solutions.
WNTIPCFG is not the best option for XP.
