Wireless Network Internet Connectivity Issues

I live in a townhouse and there are other wireless
networks around me. My problem is that I keep getting
(every few minutes) a message that says "One or more
wireless networks available. To see a list of available
networks click here". Until I pick a network I am off of
the internet. How do I keep my computer on my network and
therefore on the internet, not looking for others.

My setup is and HP pavilion with a centrino chip. The
wireless network is by Microsoft.

Disable "Automatically connect to non-preferred networks".
