Default Wireless disconnects trying to connect to other router(not mine!)

Help!

My windows XP wireless connection keeps dropping and dropping when it
detects a signal from my neighbours router. That signal is locked and
I do not have the key... but my Windows XP still disconnects from my
network trying to connect to that network.

Is there any way to disable that?

First, assign your wireless network a unique SSID, rather than using
the default assigned by the router manufacturer.

Configure the wireless network connection to connect to your network
only:

1. Open the Network Connections folder.
2. Right-click the wireless network connection.
3. Click Properties.
4. Click Wireless Networks.
5. If another network appears in the list of preferred networks, click
it, then click Remove.
6. Click Advanced.
7. Select "Access point (infrastructure) networks only".
8. Un-check "Automatically connect to non-preferred networks".
