Wireless connection drop after detecting other wireless networks

Hi, I just repalced my old LinkSys wireless router with a
new MS wireless-G router. My XP Pro Desktop used to be
fine with the old LinkSys, but now, it is not working
fine.

The wireless connection always drops after xp pro detects
that there are more wireless connection available.

What can I do to stop this.
