I have a wireless camera hooked up to my network through a router (Linksys
WRT54G) and it works well.
The problem is that after a few minutes the connection falls asleep and I
have to hit the refresh bottom to get a live feed again.
Any ideas on how to keep the connection live all the time?

I'm not sure what "refresh" setting you are pressing other than on the
browser which then goes and fetches a new page. That's how the browser
works.
To control how often your web cam refreshes it's image, check the web
cam software on the PC on which you are running it for some sort of setting.
Even though you mention it, my hunch is that the router has nothing to
do with this.
Hope this is useful to you. Let us know.
