Default wired and wireless network problems

I would really appreciate some help from anyone. I have a
problem with my home network. Both computers run XP Home.
My desktop is wired into a wireless router and the laptop
is wireless. I can access my laptop from my desktop, but
cannot access my desktop from my laptop.
It says "\\Desktop is not acessible. You might not have
permission to use this network resource. Contact the
administrator of this server to find out if you have
access permissions. Access is denied."

I have disabled the windows fire wall. I have done all 12
pings and they all work just fine. Below is the ipconfig
for each computer

Chuck, if you see this, here are the specs. that you
usally ask for.

Default Re: wired and wireless network problems

Hi,

Have you tried enabling simple file sharing in the Folder Options under the
Advanced Settings?
Have you tried enabling the guest account of your desktop computer?

Default Re: wired and wireless network problems

Thanks for the reply.

I enabled the file sharing by right clicking on the
folder and told it to share that folder (I think it is XP
Pro where you have to go to the folder options).

As for the guest account, are you talking about the guest
accout under the user accounts? If so, then yes, I did
activate the guest account on the desktop without
success.

Any other suggestions? I really appreciate it.
