Default Windows XP and SLIP with a tcp/ip device

Hi people,

I have a problem with slip configuration. I would like to make a slip connection with a device that runs tcp/ip stack, but the problem is that this is not a modem. I tried to make a connection via SLIP with my device and it didn't work. I was researching and people say that windows always see a serial direct connection with a modem.
Do you know how do solve that? I really need help. If you need more detailed information, ask me and i will give you.

regards,

Karane.
