Default Windows XP Security Patches causing Network Connectivity Failure

Since loading the security patches since late June and
early July I began experiencing failures with connecting
to the network. Has anyone seend these issues or know
which patch or what causes this? I've tried uninstalling
some but then have intermittent problems which cannot be
pinpointed. Once I reverted back the restore well back
into June I don't have any issues. But Windows Update
keeps insisting on updating.

Thanks.
