Default Windows XP as a retail store "Server" (Controller)

I have a large retail client that hopes to use Windows XP Pro as the "server" (controller) in each store. The POS registers in each of the several hundred stores will have Windows XP embedded as the operating system. What are the pros and cons of using Windows XP as a server? Are there licensing restrictions? What are the technical constraints (management of the XP "server" from the corporate office, security, networking, ability to update/patch the register software, future wireless support, future AD/SMS/SUS support, etc.)?

Hello

Your best option here would be to use Win 2000server gives
much more connections unlimited, in Win XP Hm you have 5
in Win XP Pro you only get 10, if your client that many stores
Win 2000 Server or win 2003 server is your best option for
your Server.
