Default windows switches from 1 wireless network to another randomly

Please help! I have a Linksys USB 802.11b on an XP
system at home (connecting to an unsecured home wireless
network). My neighbor also has an unsecured/open
wireless network and windows is continuously switching
between his network and mine. I have tried identifying
both and prioritizing mine (within windows) but does not
seem to solve the problem. I've tried labeling his as an
adhoc network and to not recognize adhoc with no luck.
I've also tried to switch channels on my ap with no
luck...

Any suggestions to keep my wireless on my network and not
switching between the two? The continous switching
confuses downloads and is just downright annoying...

Thanks...

Why are you connecting to an unsecured wireless network?
That would be the first and easiest way to keep your
computer connected to your network.

1. Right click your wireless network connection.
2. Click "View Available Wireless Networks".
3. Click Advanced.
4. Remove the neighbor's network from the list of preferred networks.
5. Click Advanced.
6. Un-check "Automatically connect to non-preferred networks".
