Default VPN with XP issue

I can connect to the VPN with another computer that has
W2K from my home and it works fine, but when I connect
from my laptop with XP, I can't browse the VPN network or
the internet....strangely MSN Messenger works while
connected, though.

Often if going through routers, you will not be able to browse the network
that the VPN server is on.

As far as getting on the Internet, you need to configure the VPN client not
to Use default gateway on remote computer

1. Go to the properties for your VPN connection
2.
Click on the Networking tab
3.
Double click on TCP/IP
4.
Click on the Advanced button
5.
Uncheck "Use default gateway on remote computer"
