Default Upgrade from XP Home to Professional

I upgraded from Windows XP Home Edition to Professional
and first thing I noticed was that broadband internet
connection no longer works. In Network Connections, I
tried to Repair it but got the following message:

"Failed to query TCP/IP settings of the connection.
Cannot Proceed."

Under Device Manager, I removed the Network device and
reran the Network Wizard but am still getting the same
error. I will appreciate if someone could help me fix
this problem.
