Default Unable To delete Network Settings - Even In Safe Mode

Hello,

I have failed twice to install a DLINK Wireless USB device under XP Home SP1.
No errors in Event logs, no problems reported during install.
It just shows a grey panel for the available networks.

I thought I would try to remove the devices in Safe Mode and try again.
It show 2 entries for the DLINK one with an appended #1.

I'm unable to remove them in Safe Mode. "Unable To Remove" message
The registry contain about 10 references for each one if I search for DLINK.

Any suggestions/pointers very much welcome.

Many Thanks - David
