Default Unable to contact your DHCP server

I have a computer that is a part of a network that was
working fine until yesterday. Now I can't use the web on
it. It isn't being assigned a valid IP address, it is
assigned the autoconfig address. Other computers on this
network seem to work. I tried assigning it a static
IP/Default Gateway/DNS but it didn't work. When I do an
ipconfig /renew, it gives me the message:
unable to connect to your DHCP server. Connection timed
out. The cable seems to be working because when I unplug
it from the machine, I get the message:
A network cable is unplugged.

Does anyone have any ideas what's going on here?

Thanks.
