unable to connect via name but able to connect via ip address

Hi all. I have a wierd problem. When i ping orion.mslicense.com i get
"destination net unreachable". But i could access https://orion.mslicense.com
via IE. My IE is not using any proxy server and my pc could resolve the name
of orion.mslicense.com to correct ip address when i ping it. Why is this so?
Moreover my colleague could not access the https://orion.mslicense.com via IE
or any other browser but could access when using ip address. When he does a
ping, it resolves to correct ip address but it shows "destination net
unreachable". Its very strange. Can anyone give a solution so that my
colleague can access using hostname instead of ip? I have checked and there
is no dns issue. Thks in advance.

Any errors if using nslookup command? Or post the result here.
