Windows XP comes loaded with a set of drivers and the driver for the device (wireless adapter) you are using need not be always present. To solve this
problem, you may want to go to the linksys website and try to download a driver specific to your model that you can install (Often with new devices, you get
CDs that contain the installation stuff, and in this case you need not download anything). If you know the model of your adapter, I can help you provide a link
for the download if you can't find it. After installation of the driver, you should be up and running.
Hope this helps.
Thanks.
