Default random network disconnects after reinstalling XP

Hi all,

Ever since I bought a new hard drive and reinstalled
WinXP on it, I'm having random disconnections from my
network.

Currently, I have one WinXP computer hooked up to a
Linksys broadband switch, which is hooked to a cable
modem.

First off, all my drivers, firmware, etc. is updated with
the latest versions.

When the connection drops, it is NOT my modem or switch,
as they still function properly. The switch is still
communicating with the modem when this happens. In fact,
I can't even ping the switch, so it's a problem with with
Windows or possibly my hardware. To reestablish the
connection, I open up my lan settings and TCP/IP settings
windows and then close them. After about 30 sec to 1
minute, the connection is reestablished.

Services appear to be working fine - I don't get any
errors associated with the disconnect.

The LAN network icon in the system tray still says I'm
connected when this happens.

Here is some stuff I've tried:

I've configured my network adapter from auto-sense speed
to 100mbps full duplex.

I disabled DHCP and assigned computer IP's manually in
the switch.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the network adapter.

Frankly, at this point, I'm at a loss for what to try.
The system was working fine before the windows XP
reinstall and the new hard drive.

Here is some info from the system info utility:
