Problem with Network Adapters

I am experiencing a strange problem with my network adapters.Windows can't
load the drivers required for the devices. Even though i uninstall them
(uninstalling comes up with an error
"failed to uninstall the device. the device may be required to boot up the
computer."
adapters remove from device manager but when they are loading again after a
reboot it comes up with the following
"An error occured during the installation of the device.The system cannot
find the file specified"
I am pretty sure that all files are there, but my guess is that there is a
problem with the NDIS or Packet Scheduler Miniport. (I have also an error
about Packet Scheduler Miniport #4).
What can i do to reinstall Packet Scheduler Miniport and NDIS to prevent a
clean install of XP ???

Lucky for you, Network Cards (NIC) are cheaper than Fancy Burger in a common
Fast Food Joint.

I am having the exact same problem.
And yes, I tried another network card.
There are two built into my motherboard (Marvell and NVidia) and I also
tried a Linksys card.
Any help is appreciated.

I tried to reset the TCPIP stack and resetting all TCPIP registry settings
(using netsh).

I have the the same problem too. On Windows 2000
Tried re-install of Windows
Clearing any Wake-ON-Lan settings in the BIOS
Showing No-present devices and trying to delete those
Resetting network settings with winsockxpfix (works on W2K)

Still no luck.
Cost me a day so far but I seen the same problem in experts-exchange where
it cost the guy several days and a whole new PC
