pop ups

Can anyone tell we why, after running a full error check
and defragmenting my C: drive I am now bombarded with pop
up messages everytime I use the net.

Could the is reset something in the system, and how do I
stop to from happening, as I never used to get pop ups
before.

Get Spybot and Ad-Aware. They're free and they'll get rid of those evil
programs that the worms have put on there.
