Offline Files and File Screens

Currently I am trying to implement Offline files with my Staff laptops - It
is working perfectly with one exception.

On my network share I have file screens enabled to stop my staff members
sending music files and executables up to the server. However, each staff
member has signed an AUP saying in effect that the legalities of music stored
on thier staff laptops (which are taken home) are completely thier own
responsibility.

When my Staff memebers are outside of the network, they can rip cd's to
their laptops for various uses. However, as soon as they connect back into
the network, these files fail to sync (as expected), but then dissappear from
the machine. They are still available in the offline files cache.

Basically I am not willing to turn file screens off (as the music would then
be my responsibility). However I would like it to be visable to staff if they
are on the network or not.

So my Question is - is there a GPO that will tell offline files to display
even if syncronisation has failed?

I don't think this is possible, unless they put the data somewhere else
(c:\data or c:\music). What you're describing makes perfect sense if you
think about it.

Frankly, unless the business owners want you to devote a lot of time and
energy to working on this, I'd just tell the users they need to use their
own/home computers for music and other nonbusiness purposes (and change your
"AUP" to match).

No, not that I'm aware of - offline files isn't a GP thing anyway.
