Default NT Authority Error

I Just purchased a new computer that is running Windows
XP. I configured the internet connection, which is dial-
up, and i can connect to the internet. When I
launch "Internet Explorer" or any other program that uses
a connection to the internet within about a minute a pop-
up message appears that says "NT Authority Error" than it
says Windows will restart, please save all programs, etc.
and a counter starts within the box counting from 59 to 0
at this point the computer reboots and the same thing
happens when I try to reconnect. So if anyone knows what i
can do to stop this, please help me!
Thanks

This sounds like a virus or spyware program. Make sure your virus
definitions are updated and download a spyware removal program.
