not seeing computers on network

I can ping the server, but it does not show up when
I type the computer name in the search window and it
does not show up when I try to view computers on the
network, I install NetBEUI thinking that would help..
any advice, anyone

Hi Mike,

You can ping server by ip and name?
What happens if you try to open start \ run - \\server
Can you connect to all the computers, but can not see them in My network
Places? Is that the problem?
