Would an update of my anti virus cause my firewall to tell me it had detected
a new network and assigned it to the internet zone? It also gave me the IP
number which is not mine.
Anna
Hi
It is not a common occurrence
However in order to help you you need to revert to the technical info of the
system.
What are the Network components and how are they configured?
Which Type of Windows?
What is the name of the Antivirus application?
Which Firewall is used?
What are the LAN IP numbers that are involved in this concoction.

There was a recent Security Update to Internet Explorer (yes IE) zones, which
caused odd symptoms like yours.
