Default Network won't install

Hi All,
I am trying to set up a network between 2 computers at home.
Both connect to the internet via a router. I run the Network Setup Wizard
from my computer and copy the set up files to a disk.

Then I run the disk in the wife's computer and when it's done, the network
dose not install on her system.

I have all firewalls turned off.

Her system can connect to the internet with no problem through the router (A
D-Link DI-704)

If I run ping on her computer, it displays her IP so I know her systems
see's her network card.

When I run "ping marie" (her computers name) from her computer, it displays
her IP. If I run "ping greg" (my computers name) from her computer, it
displays my IP.

If I ping greg from my computer, it displays my IP but if I ping marie from
my computer it times out.

Any ideas on what might be going on here?

Thanks.
