Network Slowdown on XP

We have installed Peachtree Classic Version 13 on an XP
peer to peer network and it runs extremely slow. The
older version ran very fast on an ME peer to peer network.

Peachtree Tech Support says this is an XP problem that
they continue to report to Mircosoft, but get no results.

Has anyone else encountered this problem and discovered
any fixes ?
