Default Network share no longer there causing problems

Hello to All,

I had My Documents connected to a share name on a W2k server (NT Domain).
That share name was deleted from the server and then I used another share
instead, same server.
However every time I log on now my PC (XP Pro) tries to synchronise this
non-existent share. It then reports that the server is unavailable. This is
a problem when I'm connected using VPN, as it prevents me from accessing
files sometimes. Its not such a problem when I'm on the LAN.
How can I remove the remnants of this share?
Or should I do something else to cure it?

Regards
Steve W
