Hi
I am having HP laptop with XP loaded and I have other PC's with win/2000 When I am trying to view Network places it does not display any other pCs but I can see XP Laptop from 2000 PC. I can access. but some time it disabled that connection also.
I am very new to XP . Please help me to configure my newtwork places on XP

Is this XP Home or Pro? Are the other PCs members of a domain or workgroup?
Do any of the computers have a software firewall (ICF or third party)? If so,
you need to configure them for file sharing, by opening ports TCP 139, 445 and
UDP 137, 138, 445, and / or by identifying the other computers as present in the
Local (Trusted) zone. Firewall configurations are a very common cause of
(network) browser, and file sharing, problems.
