Network password?

I have two computers (running W2K and XP) connected by a peer-to-peer
network. From the W2K computer I can access all files on the XP computer.
The XP Explorer shows all of the W2K drives. However, when I attempt to
access any of the W2K drives from the XP computer, XP asks for a user name
and password. Where do I get or assign these?

Notes:
1. XP only started doing this after the W2K hard drive crashed and I had to
do a clean install of W2K.
2. I am the only one who uses these two computers so I'd like to eliminate
all user name and password requirements, if possible.

A password requirement can come from the Share level or the NTFS level of the drive.

On the W2K system go to the properties of the HDD and check the security settings of the Share, and the security settings of the HDD itself (this last one is only possible when the HDD is formatted as NTFS).

Another solution is to use the same login credentials on both computers, this way it will automatically log in when you open the shared drive.

On the W2K, when I check the properties of the C: drive (by right clicking
on the drive), the Sharing tab shows
that sharing is allowed with a Share Name C$. If I click on Permissions I
get the message "This has been shared for administrative purposes.
Permissions cannot be set." On the Security tab, Everyone has permission to
do everything (i.e., nothing is denied).

All of the W2K drives are NTFS. How do I set/check the security settings of
the HDD itself ?

My logon name is the same for both computers. What other credentials do I
need to set? Where are these set?
