Default Network interface card

I have a onboard Lan and intend to install a Network
interface card, should I disabled the onboard Lan on
device manager or in Bios? And the NIC is 10/100mbps, so
how am I going to maximise the card to run at 100mbps and
not 10mbps?

Default Re: Network interface card

1. Disable it in the BIOS configuration, IMHO; though disabling it in
Device Manager would also work. I suggest disabling the hardware to prevent
any odd happenstances.

2. It will work at 100mbps if your other equipment will work at 100mbps,
otherwise it will work at 10mbps. Best to let it figure out which speed it
should use.
