Default Network Bridge Icon Not Visible

I have a laptop that has wired and wireless (802.11g) connections. I am trying to setup ICS and have been trying to use bridges to do this but I have a problem. In "Network Connections" the only two connections visible are for the two devices that are in the laptop. If I bridge these devices I do not get a "Network Bridge" icon. Also, when I select both and right click (when they are NOT bridged) I get the option to "Add to bridge" even though there shouldn't be any bridge present.

So, my question is: How do you delete an invisible network bridge?

Thanks for your help!
