Default Netgear FVS318 + Win Xp CLient

SO ive set up a tunnel on my LAN. I think I;ve done it properly but my task now is to configure a VPN client. I'd like to use the VPN software to do this. I know NETGEAR offers their own client but I'd like to use the XP (FREE!!!).
Can anyone point me in a direction that shows how to do this??

To create a connection on XP that uses XP's VPN client:

1. Open the Network Connections folder.
2. Click "Create a new connection".
3. Click Next.
4. Click "Connect to the network at my workplace".
5. Click Next.
6. Click "Virtual Private Network connection".
7. Click next and follow the remaining prompts.

THanks for the info. GOt the connection but it doesnt work. Been reading at it seems like theres more I have to do ( certificate, ipsec policy, preshared key, etc ) but I dint see a place for that in the connection I just made. I have a feeling Im asking for a lot here but is there any place I can go to kind of show me how to translate my setting for my tunnel into the information that XP VPN client require to log on to my vpn?
SHould I just go ahead and get the VPN client from NETGEAR if this client allows me to make all the changes through that software? What does eveyone think of the client from NETGEAR?

Thanks a billion

You can either get the Prosafe VPN Client software from Netgear (http://kbserver.netgear.com/kb_web_files/n101253.asp) or using XP go get this doc that describes how to setup IPSec in MMC: http://www.lanshop.co.uk/ftp/FVS318/fvs318_w2k.doc

It seems the drawback to WinXP is that it likes a stable IP address. If you roam or use a laptop you may want to get the ProSafe software.
