Default .Net Passport Sign-In

I have a customer that is using a proprietary software
package that automatically resizes/rotates/etc images
before sending them over to a server which then handles
all the images and prints them to two large format
printers.

Whenever they access images across their network located
in a server, they get a .Net Passport Sign-In message.
Even if they sign-in, they will continue to get this
message whenever our software is used to access these
images across the network. This issue does NOT occur if
they access images that are local on their system.

This issue did NOT occur until after they got DSL from
Verizon. After completing their DSL setup, they were
prompted to create a .Net Passport account. Ever since
this, the issue above has occured. This seems to only
happen, however, when they are using our photo layout
software.

Any suggestions? We have had several customers complain
of this issue and we are unable to duplicate it here in
our labs.
