I have XP Pro SP1.
My modem connects to the internet and stays connected
however most of the time after a few minutes of use I lose
a network connection so the browser won't work and email
fails.
Any ideas?
I have had a number of Blaster / Lovsan viruses but have
removed them. I now have a firewall (hotbrick) and virus
software installed (AVG). I have also cleaned off a number
of spyware programs.
When I run a diagnostic test on my modem (internal) all is
well.
I'm getting fairly desperate. Is an XP repair worth a try?
It is worth a try! Before doing it, prepare Service Pack 1 For windows xp.
Because you must apply it after in-place upgrade. Hope it helps.
