Default Loose network connection approx every 5hrs 50 mins

I have a LAN card connected to a corporate LAN network.
Approx every 5 hours I will loose my LAN connection. I
am no longer able to access the internet or intranet
(running IE6). Other LAN applications also fail. I AM
however able to ping these addresses. Rebooting my PC
fixes the problem.
Sounds like a virus, but I have the latest definitions
and all is clear. I have also downloaded the latest
Windows critical updates. I have also run Spybot to
check for advertising, but nothing found. Any ideas??

Have the network admin check your DHCP server to see if the IP leases are
set to expire every five or six hours or so. If they are, have the admin
change the leases to last a more appropiate time frame, like every two
weeks.
