I am not able to access the local area connection properties to reset my ip configuration. Windows displays an error report and closes down. Is there a way to get around this. I am able to get into properties when the network is disabled, but this doesn't help.
Thanks

Go to Device Manager and un-install the network adapter that the local
area connection uses. Then let Windows detect and re-install the
adapter. It will create a new network connection that should work.
