I have 4 computers on a small LAN at home. All computers running
WinXP. ONE of the computers would not let any of the other computers
browse into the shared socuments folder - or let other computers share
it's printer!
This was a pain in the neck that plagued me for a LONG time. Yesterday
I found the problem! And I am posting it here in hopes that it might
help someone else!
The thing that did it for me
Start -> Run
GPEDIT.MSC
Go to:
Computer Configuration / Windows Settings / Security Settings / Local
Policies / User Rights Assignment
and check the following:
Access this Compputer from the Network
On the problem computer, the list was BLANK!
I added "Everyone" to the list - VOILA! Everthing working properly
now!
