Internet Gateway

Hi group,

how do I get rid of an Internet Gateway so that it doesn't appear everytime
I run my laptop up? I have a lan connection of 100mbps, and wireless
connection to our other computer for Networking; but DO NOT want to use our
DLINK Router as a gateway.
