Internet Explorer not working with wifi......again

Hello, My internet explorer will not connect thru wifi. connection thru
dial-up still works and my wifi connection is good. I had this problem once
before but have forgotten the solution. I had to go into internet explorer
to the notepad program and make a change because somthing was corrupt.
please help. Thanks in advance Barry

Can you ping a public IP? If yes can you ping yahoo.com? This step by step
troubleshooting may help too.
