Internet access disconnected after computer idle

I have a problem with XP Home that everytime after my
desktop computer is idle and the screen saver comes on,
logging in again I will find the network disconnected. I
use a cable modem. I have 2 laptops connecting through
WLAN and they're both OK even if my desktop connection
is "disconnected". Would someone please help me correct
this problem?
