I have two "Network connections" icons in Control Panel
Hello everybody:
I have a problem and i would like that someone could help
me.
I have a two "Network connections" icons in Control Panel
and i would like to know why?. I have two NIC in my
computer, because in my house i share internet connection
with my father's computer. I use a cross over cable to
connect both computers, and all works fine. I attach two
jpg files with the image of "Control panel" and "Network
connections". I would like to know how to remove one of
the two icons and only have one in "Control panel".

Well, that's why. It's not a bug, it's a feature.
If you want to, you can turn one or both of them off using the "Show
icon in taskbar when connected" setting in the connection properties
(right-click on the connection and goto properties). [No, you can't
turn off the 'unconnected' icon...]

Do you see two "Network Connections" icons when you click Start |
Control Panel? That's not normal. There should only be one,
regardless of how many NICs your computer has. What exactly does each
one say? What happens if you double click each one?
Do you see two network connection icons in the notification area at
the right side of the taskbar by the clock? That's normal if you have
two NICs and they're both configured to show an icon when connected.
