Default Home Network Set-up error (XP Home)

For some reason, both of my computers, which run
Windows XP, have a problem when running the network setup
wizard. The screen says" Please wait while the wizard
configures this computer for home or small office
networking. This process may take a few minutes".

Actually, it takes forever and never finishes. It
appears on screen to be continuing to work, but I think
it has frozen. As a result, it is impossible for me to
complete network setup.

Thanks for your help!
