Default File sharing problem (not working even with simple file sharing enabled)

I hope someone can point me into the right direction for trying to solve
this, since no guide has been able to help me yet.

I have a small network at home with 3 computers, they are all connected
through a 2Wire Homeportal router (they all can access the internet and ping
eachother)
I will call the computers PCA, PCB and LAPTOP for easy reference.

PCA and PCB have XP Pro with simple file sharing enabled. LAPTOP has XP Home
with simple file sharing too (the only kind available)

If PCB shares, LAPTOP and PCA can access the files.
If LAPTOP shares, PCA and PCB can access the files.
If PCA shares, only LAPTOP can access the files.

The accounts on each machine are as follows:
- PCA - Chris (admin)
- PCB - Humberto (admin)
- LAPTOP - Chris (admin)

So, as you can see, LAPTOP and PCA have both the same admin account (Chris),
so that should be the problem, right? Well, I do think that too, but then,
how can PCB share and have LAPTOP and PCA access its files if they have
different accounts?

What I want to do is share my files, regardless of the administrators
accounts the other machines have (that's why I'm using simple file sharing).
I've already tried advanced file sharing by creating special accounts but
still, no luck.

Everytime PCB tries to access PCA I get a msg "You don't have access to
\\PCA. You may not have permission to use this network resource. Contact
your admin to check if you have access or not".

Any similar experiences? (Firewall is turned OFF in the 3 machines)

you need to have accounts on all machines, with the same passowrd and u need to be logged on in order to access resources.

I already enabled it on all machines, and the problem persists.

Also, if I need to have same accounts and passwords on all machines, how can
I access shared files when I use my LAPTOP on a much bigger network? (e.g.
my campus network)

Also, if PCB and LAPTOP have totally different accounts, how come they can
share each other?

That's what I want to do, to share files regardless of the account or
password (which is supposed to be done by simple sharing)
